Meet Our Staff

Dr. Y, a graduate of the University of California at Davis, was raised in Connecticut and moved to Southern California to pursue veterinary medicine. She has been working as a veterinarian in the Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks area for the past eight years. Prior to veterinary school, she worked for seven years as a veterinary nurse/technician. Dr. Yetishefsky’s professional interests include behavior, nutrition, end of life issues, and internal medicine. Dr. Y has worked very hard to create a veterinary clinic that has a focus on client/patient/vet relationships. She enjoys working with the older patients that need extra love and attention to keep them happy and comfortable in their aging life.

In her spare time Dr. Y loves to read, walk, ski, and most of all spend time with her husband and son. Also loves to travel and visit her family that lives out of state.

Dr. Megan Slomowitz has been working at Doctor Y’s for the last few months and has been the perfect addition to our family. She has been working at another clinic in the Westlake Village prior to moving here. She is an Ohio native and moved to California with her husband and children after graduating vet school. She finished her undergraduate schooling at Ohio State and completed her veterinary degree at St. Georges University in 2009. Prior to vet school she worked at the Columbus zoo caring for Manatees. Dr. Slomowitz is very caring, patient, and clearly loves what she does. She makes our clients feel welcome and at home.

In her spare time away from work she enjoys spending with her husband and two young boys, gardening, baking delicious treats, and snuggling with her three dogs.

Jenny has worked full time for the last fourteen years in an animal hospital all the while studying to obtain her bachelor’s degree in business management. She lives with her husband Chris and is the mother of three cats, a dog, a lizard, and a ten year old boy, Christopher.

Her administrative and technical skills as well as her patience and compassion make her a stellar addition to this new veterinary hospital. Jenny loves working with the staff and clients to make sure the clinic is constantly growing and evolving. On her off time she loves hanging out with her family and friends, watching Packer football games, going to Disneyland and reading.

Jenna, like many in the field of veterinary medicine, realized her love for helping animals at a very young age having rescued an abandoned three legged dog as well as a wounded cat she found in a cardboard box at the supermarket. Jenna has four dogs and two cats.

She has been a veterinary technician for nine years, and truly loves what she does. Jenna has a love and passion for living life to the fullest and enjoys traveling, trying new things like sky diving, spending time with her close friends, music and dancing, and all things Disney.

Head Technician

Cindie Cindie has worked in the veterinary field for 19 years and loves her position here at the front desk. Enjoying client education, she helps to further the human-animal bond by getting clients the information they need to help their furry kids lead a healthier, longer life.

Passionate about walking her dog Sophie, brushing her cats Boo and Buddy, hand making greeting cards and all things baseball (go Sox!), she and her husband Mike like to ride their motorcycles in any spare time they have.

Cindie has provided this clinic with a fun personality to help welcome our clients. She uses her 19 years of experience to help Dr. Y’s continue being the best place for your animals to receive loving and quality care.

Chelsy is a receptionist here at Doctor Y’s and has been part of our team for almost two years. She currently goes to school full time and studying animal science. Chelsy plans on attending Veterinary school as soon as she finishes her bachelor’s degree.

Chelsy is the mom to two dogs and two cats. She has an infectious laugh that makes clients feel relaxed and staff at ease. On her off time she enjoys painting and other crafting, traveling, hiking and running, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dustin is a veterinary assistant and has been working at Doctor Y’s for almost two years. He has been working in pet rescue and other pet services since he was a young kid with a focus in Korean Jindo and Shiba Inu Rescue. Since working at Doctor Y’s he has become a staple among the staff and clients.

He has an infectious smile and personality that lights up the room and makes everyone happy. He has a beautiful girlfriend named Alyssa who has become part of the Doctor Y family as well. Together they both help with dog walking for our boarding patients as well as private at home dog sitting. Dustin is looking forward to a long career in dog service whether that is here with us or working in other animal care avenues.

Veterinary Assistant

Rafael has been working in the veterinary industry for over 25 years. He studied Animal Health Sciences in Mexico and when he moved to the United States he started working as a veterinary assistant. He previously worked with multiple of Doctor Y’s staff at a previous clinic and knew that he would be a huge asset for our team. His years of knowledge and skills make him a great tool for training our new staff members and providing excellent support to the doctors.

He has four children that take up all his spare time. He loves to travel back home to be with his family. He also enjoys playing basketball on his free time.

Veterinary Assistant

Brian is a kennel assistant and has been working at Doctor Y’s for a little over six months. Brian has been working in the pet industry for almost fifteen years. Brian has been a great addition to the team because of his hard work ethic, fun sense of humor, drive to learn new things, and excitement to care for and play with all the cats and dogs we see every day.

Brian has a desire to stay working in the veterinary field and will hopefully be with us for a long time.

Kennel Assistant

Stephanie is a sweet, energetic, fun animal loving team member. She has been working in the veterinary field for the last 5 years within the Calabasas/Conejo Valley area. She has been a fantastic addition to the Dr. Y’s team. “Stu” is always looking to problem solve, lend a helping hand, encourage other team members, and provide love and care to all the pets that come in.

In her free time she loves to be with her friends and family, travel to her family in Romania, and one day hopefully set up a rescue in Romania to help all of the stray cats and dogs.

Kennel Assistant/Reception

Danielle has been a part of Dr. Y’s Hospital family for over the past year as a kennel and veterinary assistant, and has previously worked at Banfield Pet Hospital. Before joining the veterinary field, she began her career in pet care as a dog trainer, teaching all ages of dogs in basics, intermediate, and advanced (American Kennel Club certification) obedience training.

In her off time, Danielle loves to spend time with her cat “Coco” (some of you may remember her from the hospital!), and her leucistic ball python “Khaleesi.” She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, and playing online video games such as League of Legends and World of Warcraft.

Danielle brings her amazing love and compassion to this clinic. She is always willing to lend a hand to any client, staff member, or creature that comes in!
